  • Niagara Children's Centre relies on hundreds of dedicated volunteers who give their time generously to support the Centre. Volunteers work and contribute in many different areas at the Children's Centre. Their time, skills, empathy, and creativity are vital to the inclusivity, strength, and well-being of our community.

    Volunteers may work in:

    • Awareness and Fundraising Events
    • Adapted Gym Programs
    • Aquatics Programs
    • Preschool Programs
    • A variety of therapy programs run by our speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, recreation therapist or social workers.

    Please Note:

    • Volunteers must be 16 years of age to volunteer at Niagara Children's Centre.
    • Must have a valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check (if over 18 years of age).
    • Volunteers must successfully complete all orientation and training requirements before starting in a volunteer role.

    • Volt Hockey

      Help support VOLT Hockey by volunteering at practices, tournaments, or in roles such as referees, scorekeepers, or equipment 'pit crew.'

    • Challenger Baseball

      The Children's Centre is currently seeking volunteers from the Niagara community to participate in the weekly event to help their athletes in various aspects of the game.

      Volunteer shift: 4:15 to 7 p.m. / each week
      Mandatory training: Monday, May 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lancaster Park
